Seminole Valley Farm Museum is a 1900 farm site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We are a non-profit organization ran completely by volunteers. Normal open hours are Sunday, 1 to 4, May through September (except Holidays). The Museum is a restored farm site to show what early farm life was like in Iowa.

Due to the June flood of 2008, the museum is currently closed to the public for repairs. However, we will continue to host our 3 annual outdoor events while we rebuild. Please visit us at these events and help support the museum in its efforts to re-open soon. For information on any of our events, please click on "Upcoming Events" and choose the event you are interested in.

Last 2 Events

Fall Farm Festival got washed out. We had a bad thunderstorm Saturday morning just about time for our vendors to set up. Our Thanks to the vendors who braved the weather and set up anyway. The weather also kept much of the public away. Our Thanks also to those who came out to the event and visited us. The birthday party we had there on the same day went great. Our Thanks to them for joinging us.

Rendezvous was a great weekend for us. The weather was a little chilly but that was OK when your wearing buckskins. Our Thanks to all the reenactors who made this a great event. It was an impressive turn out. The Kettle Corn was great. Hope to have them back next year. We will post new photos soon to the photo album. Thank You to all the public who came out and visited us that weekend.

Rebuilding has begun on the Museum buildings. The Smoke House, the Museum building, the Summer Kitchen, and the Visitors Center are slated to be done before the end of the year. We will post updates as they happen.

Our Thanks to all who helped make this a great season. Hope that next year is even better.
