Seminole Valley Farm Museum is a 1900 farm site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We are a non-profit organization ran completely by volunteers. Normal open hours are Sunday, 1 to 4, May through September (except Holidays). The Museum is a restored farm site to show what early farm life was like in Iowa.

Due to the June flood of 2008, the museum is currently closed to the public for repairs. However, we will continue to host our 3 annual outdoor events while we rebuild. Please visit us at these events and help support the museum in its efforts to re-open soon. For information on any of our events, please click on "Upcoming Events" and choose the event you are interested in.

Steam & Gas Engine Show
Thank You to all who came out to the show! It was a great show this year. The Midwest Antique Gas Engine and Tractor Association did a wonderful job as always. We had to deal with some bad weather forecasts but for the most part, both days were blessed with good weather. The spark show Saturday night was spectacular but it had to be cut a little short due to incoming weather. We had to shut down a little early on Sunday as the sirens were going off but no real bad weather came near us. Thanks to all who helped us get tore down so quickly with the storm on Sunday. We enjoyed great company, great food, and great fun, all weekend. Special thanks to KGAN for coming out and doing a live remote Friday morning. It did mean that Bob, John, and a few others had to get up extremely early. Thanks to all for that. We had 4 full size and 1 miniature steam engine, numerous tractors, the full sized sawmill, many gas engines, and all sorts of new things on display. And this year we had something new and special. Chainsaw demonstrations and carving. They did a great job. If you look at the pictures from this year, you will see several youngsters learning to drive a tractor. We even managed to get a little work done around the farm with all the other activities. And we must not forget all the volunteers for the Museum who came out and helped keep things going both days. Again, a huge THANK YOU to all who made the show such a great one.
