Seminole Valley Farm Museum is a 1900 farm site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We are a non-profit organization ran completely by volunteers. Normal open hours are Sunday, 1 to 4, May through September (except Holidays). The Museum is a restored farm site to show what early farm life was like in Iowa.

Due to the June flood of 2008, the museum is currently closed to the public for repairs. However, we will continue to host our 3 annual outdoor events while we rebuild. Please visit us at these events and help support the museum in its efforts to re-open soon. For information on any of our events, please click on "Upcoming Events" and choose the event you are interested in.

Upcoming Civil War
Well we got through the Steam and Gas Engine Show and it went great. We had another great show this year and the public not only came out but also had a great time. The tear down was done in record time due to sirens going off at the end of the show. Our special thanks to all who helped us tear down so fast. Everyone just jumped in and helped. And now we get ready for Reflections of the Civil War. It's only two weeks away and we are looking forward to a bigger and better show than ever. This is the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War. We have added some new attractions this year and will have more entertainment than ever. Due to some buildings getting done, we will be able to have a Ball this year on Saturday night. As always we will serve breakfast and supper on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. And this year we will have two main dishes on Saturday night to choose from. If the weather just turns out good this may be our best Civil War event yet. Each year the event seems to get better and better. So plan on joining us on July 9th and 10th and experience history in action. There will be something for all ages all weekend long. You can check the times of all the events on the "Upcoming Events" page under "Reflections of the Civil War. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
