Reflections of the Civil WarWhat a hot weekend we had. It was a great turn out and as always the battle was great. The battle was from
Monroe Station in Monroe County, MO. 150 years ago to the day. Our thanks to all who showed up and suffered through the heat
the whole weekend. And we got to put away dry canvas. The weekend started Friday morning for some of us when KGAN came out
and put us on the morning news. Alice Barr was the reporter and we had a great, fun time. We can never thank KGAN enough for
all they have done for us. Bob Welsh and his music was top notch as always and "President Lincoln" (Tom Swenson)
was wonderful. The Ladies were wonderful in the Living History part of our event. They are a real plus to the event. Our food
vendor (Country Cooking) did a wonderful job keeping everyone fed and cold drinks to help fight the heat. Thanks to Americore
who not only helped set up the event but came out in the heat and helped us tear down. We gained several new volunteers and
we thank them for all the help. We will get pictures posted as soon as we have time to sort them out. Thank You again to everyone
who helped make this a fantastic event.

Please sign our "Guest Book".

At Seminole Valley Farm Museum we educate future generations on what
farm life was like in Iowa during the early 1900s. We believe that history should not only be kept alive but it should
be interesting and fun also. Join us for the fun and be surprised at what you learn.
If you would like to volunteer some of your time, please contact us. We are always in
need of more volunteers. If you would like to make a tax deductable donation you may call us or mail it to us at the
